Each hit is verified point by point against the indexed frame, so a small, low-colour or cropped GIF can still give a confident match.

Less text on top
Captions and stickers cover the picture. A version without them matches more easily.
Flipped is fine
When nothing matches, the best frames are searched mirrored as well, since reposts are often flipped.
